This week Sister Liu shared the following...
Putting on Mosquito?
Putting on Mosquito?
< HELLO EVERYONE>
This week was great!
On Wednesday, we were able to go to the temple.
Only the northern zones get to go once every 3 months, so I am super grateful that I'm still up in the north and got to go again!
The Taipei temple is beautiful and I have a huge testimony of how you can get answers to your prayers at the temple.
It really is the house of the Lord, no matter which temple you go to, it feels the same inside :)
Our investigators are all kind of in the same spot as the last couple of weeks.
Sister Kuang and I felt like a lot of them weren't really progressing, or just had things stopping them.
For example, Neal's dad doesn't want Neal's mom to meet with us anymore...
So we are still trying to figure out how to help with that,
Anyways, we really wanted to find some new investigators, and this week we found three!
While I've been in Tanzi, finding has not been the easiest, I think the most we've gotten were 2 new investigators in a week.
BUT this week was a miracle :)
The first one is Jiang Jie Mei, she is a member referral :)
She already prays and her member friend gave her a Book of Mormon to read before she even started meeting with us!
The second one is Kai Lian, she is 16 years old and used to meet with the missionaries,
but stopped because she just didn't agree with the missionaries.
One day she just randomly texted us and asked to meet with us at the library this week!
We asked her why she wanted to start meeting with missionaries again and she said that she realized she judged the missionaries too hard the first time, and for some reason she just had a feeling that she should meet with us again :)
The third one is Jia Ci, she is 18 years old.
She is also a former investigator-
She stopped meeting with the missionaries once I got to Tanzi.
One day we were calling through former investigators, and after getting rejected
over and over and over,
and over,
and over again;
she was the last one to call.
We called her and she automatically set up!
When we went to visit her, we asked her why she stopped meeting with the missionaries,
she said she just got busy,
but when we called,
she just felt like she needed some direction in life and just felt that it was right to start meeting with the missionaries again.
Talk about MIRACLES.
Well overall, It's been a good week, Sister Kuang has been working with her VISA stuff, apparently it's pretty hard for them to get a VISA to america, so I've been helping her with that,
although the directions are in english, sometimes I don't even get what it's tyring to say...
We are about to go do more VISA stuff soon..
So, I think that's it for now!
Always, Sister Michelle Liu
Line of the Week:
*getting ready in the morning*
Sister Kuang: I'm putting on mosquito.
Me: What?
Sister Kuang: Mosquito. Isn't that what this is?
Me: Mascara. That's definitely mascara. Not mosquito.
Sister Kuang: What? mosquito, mascara, mushroom. They all sound the same. Why is english so hard?
Me: beats me. why is Chinese so hard?
gotta love learning languages.
