This week Sister LIu shared the following...
Sneaking out of mission boundaries??
Sneaking out of mission boundaries??
<Hello EVERYONE>
Well this week, was.. interesting.
It's been a crazy busy week,
1. We went to Taipei for Sister Kuang's visa interview.
So yes, we did go out of mission boundaries, but with permission of course :)
Finally, Finally, Finally, it's done.
We've been working on her visa things for days...
We got to ride the high speed rail over there, which was insane, we got over there in an hour!
The people wouldn't let me go into the building when she was getting interviewed, so I was stuck outside, alone. In Taipei.
Kinda weird...
Anyways, she passed her visa interview so she should be leaving for america soon!
2. We had our mission christmas party!
The entire mission got together and it was a blast :)
It was an all day event and ended with a Christmas Devotional.
Missionaries that were about to go home shared their thoughts of missionary work and then President and Sister Blickenstaff spoke to us.
Quotes I want to share:
"All we have to do is rise every time we fall." - E. Baker
"Pride has an I, success has an us." - E. Hall
"Don't let what you are now or what you were yesterday set you back, think of what you can become tomorrow, in the future, and in your eternal progression." -E.Saylor
"He (Jesus Christ) came to pay a debt he didn't owe, because we owed a debt we couldn't pay."
- President Blickenstaff quoting President Nelson
Other than doing all of Sister Kuang's visa things, and the mission christmas party, we squeezed in a couple of lessons with investigators and less actives, oh man, this week was exhausting.
We are currently working with a less active, Fen Hou, she's great!
She had work on sundays, and was really focused on earning money, and slowly forget about the importance of church.. But recently she's wanted to come back! We've been visiting her and she's come to church the past two sundays! I can really see her progression in the gospel, and I can already see her testimony blessing others~
Well folks, I think that's all for this week.
More next time~
Always, Sister Michelle Liu
