This week Sister Liu shared the following...
Umbrella demonstrations // What happened to you??
Umbrella demonstrations // What happened to you??
<HELLO EVERYONE>
Sorry for not emailing last week-
things have been a little hectic.
Some exciting news:
1. I've hit my 6th month mark!
It's so crazy how time just flies by on a mission...
2. I've started a dance class for the Young Women in our ward.
They love to bring their non- member friends-
we have a blast dancing & we end with a spiritual share-
it's the best :)
3. It's the first day of the new transfer:
I just dropped Sister Olsen off at the train station.
It's a sad day- she is headed up north.
My eyes are too swollen to even open right now.
4. My new companion is coming in 4 hours..
5. President has decided to put us in charge of two wards now.
The one I am in now and xxxxxx.
Double the area.
Double the investigators.
I'm good with that :)
Just not the fact that biking across our area now takes like an hour.
6. We have found a new investigator!
Her name is Amy- and she has an adorable baby son.
We gave her a church tour- and explained the difference between our church and other christian churches.
Set up to meet again on tuesday.
Yay :)
7. Went on exchanges again this week-
With Sister Jorgenson.
She gave me a pep talk on how "No effort is wasted."
Much needed & much appreciated.
8. We did a LOT of finding. like a LOT. I feel like I have talked to everyone in this town by now. Well- at least we have a new area to try for this week..
This week has been a bit of a blur- I think stress is getting on me and I can't remember much anymore... People are starting to get sick- so let's cross our fingers that I avoid it this time...
Funny story of the week:
Sister Olsen and I were contacting in central park.
We saw a lady sitting on a bench.
Sister Olsen tried to break the ice-
"Do you think it's going to rain today?"
One simple question.
Which then led to a in depth lesson on what kind of umbrella we needed to buy.
apparently a 3 fold umbrella.
She even displayed hers and opened it up in the middle of the park to show us.
And then made us each hold it to feel how light it was.
Thanks.
Actually "Wanna hear about Jesus Christ?"
It's ok- we'll get better ice breaking questions.
Next time.
Line of the week:
*while looking at family pictures*
Sister from the ward: "That's you??"
Me: Yes...
Sister: But you used to be so skinny!
Me: Yes..
Sister: and pretty too! what happened to you?
Me:.....
Thank you.
Well- I think that's all for this week.
Sister Olsen has all the pictures for this week- but hasn't sent them to me yet...
So here's the one picture I have
Enjoy.
Love Always, Sister Michelle Liu
